I was unable to attend last week's thanksgiving service at St Bride's Church to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Journalists' Charity. I have edited her speech but much of it has a resonance for journalists young and old, both in print and in broadcasting, so I thought it deserved a wider audience...
All I see is this huge sea of people, many of them titans of our profession. You can understand how frightening that is.
